The verb go can be used in its present continuous form to express future actions. Here is an example of the grammatical contruction: Noun/pronoun + conjugated form of the verb "to be" + going to + verb + rest of sentence. EXAMPLE: I am going to go to the beach. This is often called the perifrastic future or the future using "going to".
